The Lake Washington School District Elementary School Counseling Program is an integral part of the total school environment. The counselor supports student’s academic, personal/social and career development through direct instruction and/or consultation with other staff members.
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons include instruction in the following areas:
- Developing a healthy self-concept and skills to interact positively with others
- Learning strategies for academic success
- Appreciating diversity

Lake Washington School District and the City of Redmond understand the challenges some families face to find a mental health provider for themselves or their children.
