Instrument Care

It is important to take care of your new instrument and to have it cleaned, professionally, at least once a year.  While you wait for a chance to have it done professionally, instruments can also be cleaned at home:

Here are some helpful videos.  Basically, brass instruments (trumpet/trombone) can take a bath and woodwind instruments can't (the pads can be damaged (and expensive to replace) if they get wet).

If you feel uncomfortable trying this out on your own, PLEASE take it to a professional at Music and Arts!  Things can break and get very expensive (especially woodwind keys and brass valves).
