Choir Expectations

Choir is a class, just like a regular music class.  As is such, the same expectations apply.  Remember, we are all here to become better singers and learn some challenging music with our friends, so let's not get into our own way.

1. Enter respectfully

 - enter the music room just as you would with your class with a calm body and a calm voice.

2. Be prepared

 - In choir, you will receive music.  You need to have your black folder (with music) for every rehearsal.  There is no guarantee that there will be music for you, and it won't always be projected.

3. Be present and attentive for the entire rehearsal

 - Remember that we are here to make each other better singers and learn challenging music with our friends.  If you want to be silly, you might as well be at recess.  If you want to be in choir, you must stay for the ENTIRE rehearsal.  You also need to be present for EVERY rehearsal.  Every voice is important and we can't afford to have anyone skip rehearsal.

4. Be kind and respectful to each other

 - We are all at different levels of our singing journey.  Make sure that we respect that fact and work to support each other as we all learn how to become better singers!

5. Leave respectfully

 - When it's time to go, leave just as you came in: with a calm body and a calm voice.

Be your best selves and you have nothing to worry about!
