Students who read what they love, learn to love to read

The mission of the Library Program at Wilder Elementary: To ensure that students are effective users of ideas and information.

At Wilder students are being challenged to read some of the 2024-2025 award books. Please ask your student if they are interested in participating. If they earn silver or gold awards, they can extra credit in library. If you want to learn more about these award-winning books, please go to the Washington Library Association website

*This program is proving to be a huge success. I want to keep the momentum going so if you have any water bottle stickers to donate or would like to purchase some, it would be a huge help. Thank you for considering. Yesterday I gave out about 100 stickers as students were busy reading! AMAZON

Who: Any Wilder Student

When: Now until June 4, 2025

Where: Anywhere you can read!

How: Each grade has their own goals to earn different prizes. The more books you read, the more prizes you earn!

More: Reading counts as being read to, listening to an audiobook, or reading to self.

How It Works: Each student has their own bookmark that stays in the library. You check books off your bookmark when you read one of them.

You do not need to read the books in order. You can check the books out from Wilder’s library, KCLS, or read your own copy. You will earn a prize at each level.
